Broadway In Chicago seeks a full-time Engagement Coordinator.

As a member of the Operations staff, the Engagement Coordinator plays a role in hosting, coordinating, and financial accounting for touring Broadway tours, various other performing artists, and special events. Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance and Theatre Management, this role will interact with most BIC staff and participate directly in work at all four of BICs downtown venues. This position works with several contracts, various other legal documents, a wide range of data tracking and analysis, as well as interpreting and managing box office data.

Due to the nature of the touring show schedules, evening and weekend hours will be required in addition to typical office hours. While number of hours per week remains fairly consistent, employee calendars are based on performance schedules and presence at certain events will be required.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Supporting operations activities of four theatrical venues, specifically show-specific finances, communication, and reporting
Communicating effectively with patrons, touring show staff, and BIC staff
Participating in weekly union payroll processing which requires the ability to develop a thorough understanding of various collective bargaining agreements
Reviewing show contracts, insurance certificates, and other legal documents for accuracy and necessary edits
Maintaining comprehensive digital files and archives
Understanding and following all purchasing, payroll, and other financial procedures
Assisting in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting and reconciliation of show finances using Microsoft Great Plains and Ticketmaster software
Organizing building tours and occasional events from initial inquiry to day-of management
Assisting with annual audit

Qualifications for this position include:
Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Attention to detail and meticulous organizational aptitude
Proclivity for data analysis
Willingness to learn accounting procedures and concepts
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to ask for help and to help others
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multi-task
Ability to take and give direction
Familiarity with industry terminology preferred
