The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), in Washington, DC, seeks two Assistant Company Managers to support an incredible array of local and visiting artists for two productions this winter: Once Upon a One More Time and Remember This: The Story of Jan Karski. These positions work as part of a highly collaborative General Management department, reporting to the Associate General Manager and supporting the Company Manager as well. The Assistant Company Managers play a key role in welcoming artists into the STC community and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their residency by serving as a key point of contact through check-ins at the theater as well as our Company Management Hotline. They will support the logistics for all visiting artists arrivals and departures, as well as artist health and wellness needs over the course of the productions. They will also collaborate with the team on other matters related to artist hospitality. Schedule flexibility is required based on show needs. The positions run from early October to mid-January; these are temporary, full-time positions with a weekly salary of $825.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Theatre or a related field and/or 1-2 years professional company management experience and a keen instinct for customer service. Knowledge of Equity and/or League of Resident Theatre agreements is a strong plus. Must be able to work well in an active, team-based environment while being able to concentrate and perform under deadlines. Creative problem solving, diplomacy, and business sense are required. This position also requires a valid drivers license and the ability to lift 50lbs.
