PIONEER THEATRE COMPANY, Utahs professional regional theatre in residence at University of Utah has an opening on our staff for a motivated, skilled scenic carpenter. This person should have a working knowledge of technical theatre and scenic construction including both wood and metal. Must be self-motivated, have excellent attention to detail, perform safe working practices, and execute tasks efficiently and accurately both individually and as part of a team. Experience with stage rigging, finish carpentry, and CNC fabrication is a plus.
This position is considered Category I: Mandatory and required on campus or health care facilities to support on-site operations. Employees hired into this category will be required to be physically located at (insert work site) if they are healthy and without COVID-19 symptoms.

COMPENSATION: $12.02 to $21.63/hour
WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8-5 Mon-Fri, Some Weekends and schedule alterations as needed

Essential Duties
+#9679; Maintain clean and safe working environment
+#9679; Work as a team member while maintaining a positive attitude in times of stress.
+#9679; Construct scenery as directed by supervisor as specified by drawings, and in line with common theatrical practices. Completing projects on schedule with a high level of quality.
+#9679; Load-+not;in and Strike scenery safely.
+#9679; Perform modification and maintenance of all scenery as directed by supervisor.
+#9679; Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of full time professional experience in one or all of the above listed skills technical theatrical skills required.
