The Theatre of Western Springs, Chicagoland’s leading community theatre, seeks a full-time technical director to help us build our new future. The description below is pre-Covid and the future may look different, but it gives a good idea of the scope of what we do. We plan to open gradually with outdoor activities this summer and indoor activities this fall.

The TWS Technical Director leads and supervises all technical and design activities during our busy production and educational year. We operate our own 410-seat main stage as well as a 125-seat studio theatre, along with a busy children's theatre school, the Children’s Theatre of Western Springs. Duties include supervision and working with our 300+ volunteer members, students and families in all aspects of technical theatre. Strong set design, CAD and painting skills required. Experience required. Strong organization and people skills a must.

Salary is low to mid $40K’s. Benefits include health insurance and paid vacation. To begin July 1, 2021.
