: This is a non-union position. Duties will include promoting a safe, productive, and professional environment in rehearsals, performances. Serve as calling or assistant stage manager per season assignments. Running of all rehearsals and performances as assigned including attendance, breaks, facilitating rehearsal needs and maintaining schedule, supervising the stage crew during technical and dress rehearsals and performances. Create, maintain, and finalize for production archives a clean and accurate calling score notating all technical cues and blocking as needed for facilitating of calling a production. Create and maintain technical running paperwork related to productions as described in the stage management handbook. Distribute daily notes to ensure communication of needs between all departments on shows/rehearsals assigned to call/run. Submit the daily schedule needs for the next day to the PSM and Company Manager. Attend full company strike calls for all 4 mainstage productions, serve as substitute SM on children’s shows as needed, assist PSM in general production focused office work as assigned. Must be able to read music and accurately call cues on musical placements. Ability to safely lift 25 lbs is required. Must be able to work as part of a team in a very busy and fast paced environment. Experience working with and mentoring young staff is a plus. Opera experience is preferred. Must have a minimum or 2 years undergraduate training with extensive experience as a stage manager by the date of hire. All employees must comply with company policies regarding all Covid-19 protocols as mandated by local, state and federal guidelines. Contract dates are June 14 thru August 22. Salary: $350/week + room and board.
