Lewis University, invites applications for Theatre Manager. The Theatre Manager is responsible to the Director of Theatre for the planning, organizing, directing, and managing of all preliminary aspects of theatrical productions. Establish, supervise, and coordinate activities of theatre student support staff including College Work-Study recipients, house managers, ushers, box office, and concession workers.
Process all ticket orders, seating arrangements, exchanges, etc.
Record, report, and file all monetary transactions, requisitions, and payment authorizations, including box office receipts and theatre attendance numbers.
Formulate production cost estimates and assist the Director of Theatre in preparing the annual budget.
Coordinate and supervise all theatre mailings, advertisements, and press releases.
Supervise maintenance of the Philip Lynch Theatre, Studio Theatre, the backstage facilities and equipment, and coordinate maintenance requests through the Facilities Department.
Plan and organize all special occasion functions including preview parties, open houses, etc.
Plan and organize all lobby-displays.
Make purchases for box office supplies, theatre displays, food and beverages, and other miscellaneous items.
Coordinate the annual Season Subscription Drive.
Organize and file all theatre archival materials.
Other duties as may be requested by Director of Theatre and/or Theatre Department faculty.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Theatre or Theatre Management or equivalent professional experience. Previous supervisory experience with diverse populations of workers. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Computer literate, with the ability to learn and adapt to different software standards. Demonstrate proven Social Media experience and a working knowledge of social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening, weekend, and holiday hours.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Journalism and/or Graphic Arts. Previous experience with specific software including Tix, Blackboard, etc. Previous experience with theatre production in an academic context. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and willingness to engage with prospective students through assistance with admissions events, outreach, and other activities.
