The North Country Center for the Arts at Jean’s Playhouse, a 260-seat traditional summer stock theatre located in the rural resort town of Lincoln, NH, is seeking a Sound Technician / Lighting Asst. for its 2021 Summer Season, which will feature 3 TBD shows in our theatre and an outdoor concert, pandemic permitting. We will be developing a cohesive COVID-19 plan to keep our company “bubble” safe during the contract.

The Sound Technician / Lighting Assistant reports directly to the Sound + Lighting Designer and is in charge of setting up sound equipment, maintaining the equipment, and mixing the audio for all productions. As Lighting Assistant, the position is often required to help during the day with light rigging, focusing, and gelling. Candidates must have prior experience with theatrical show mixing and working with sound boards, lavalier mics, and QLab. While experience is necessary, introduction to our specific equipment will be provided by the Sound Designer. This position also takes on Sound Design, in addition to running the sound, for one of the productions. Lifting items up to 50 lbs, and climbing ladders are day to day activity in this position. While not required, a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Salary is $250 / week, plus shared housing in walking distance of the theatre, shops, as well as restaurants, grocery stores, and other common needs. Interested applicants should email a letter of intent, resume, portfolio (if available), and references.
