COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Manager (Seasonal Position - Training Provided)

Come be an important part of our open-air, star-studded opera festival this winter in sunny Palm Beach County, Florida! This is a full-time seasonal position that runs from January 15, 2021 to February 28, 2021, with future engagements possible. Palm Beach Opera will also provide COVID-19 certified training for the right candidate.

The COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Manager (RMM) is to lead all Palm Beach Opera (PBO) festival staff, contractors, artists, musicians, and employees in practicing safe COVID-19 protocols as defined by PBO guidelines throughout all festival activities. The RMM has compliance and enforcement responsibilities and must be assertive and proactive in ensuring a COVID-19 compliant work environment. The RMM will ensure a safe and efficient process overseeing all back of house and front of house operations in regards to PBO guidelines and policies listed below. The RMM will be integral in record keeping, stocking of PPE, coordinating testing, tracking screenings, informing outside contractors of protocols, and coordinating replacement employees.

DUTIES INCLUDE EDUCATING AND ENFORCING OF PBO COVID-19 PROTOCALS:

Promote a positive approach to Health and Safety; ensuring correct working methods and safe working practices are adhered to.
Implement Palm Beach Opera COVID 19 safety protocols throughout all festival activities. Including initial training brief of protocols and continued announcements and reminders of the protocols to all festival personnel.
Coordinate safety protocols with venue staff, PBO medical advisors, EMS, and PBO testing partner.
Order and maintain required PPE inventory in coordination with PBO management and iThink Amphitheater staff.
Oversee onsite screening process, temperature checks, and prescreening for personnel and audience.
Ensure proper distancing is maintained based on CDC minimums and increased spacing for specific artists and musicians.
Coordinate and enforce use of masks.
Ensure and promote frequent hand sanitizing.
Coordinate and keep records of room and equipment sanitizing by cleaning contractors, stage hands, and others.
Coordinate and keep records of health screening through PBO web portal/app.
Coordinate and assist with PBO testing regimen.
Enforce safety protocols.
Report all violations to Director of Production and Director of Artistic Administration.
Remain up to date and vigilant on changing protocols from National, State, and Local agencies as well as PBO protocol updates.
Act as a Company Ambassador to the Audience, Venue Staff and Production Sponsors.
Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated understanding of the artistic process and excellent interpersonal, teamwork, communication and diplomacy skills.
Completion of COVID-19 compliance officer training.
Strong verbal, quantitative, written, and organizational skills. Adapt to new programs and procedures.
Ability to work calmly and solve problems under pressure using tact, diplomacy and flexibility, in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment with varied personalities.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work quickly and accurately with attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work with creative and technical personnel and performers.
Able to work nights and weekends as required, climb stairs and step ladders and occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Accomplished user of Microsoft suite of productivity tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
