The Naples Players, located in scenic downtown Naples, Florida, is one of the largest non-profit community theaters in the nation, with an annual operating budget above $3m. We have a professional full-time staff with experience ranging from regional theatre to international and Broadway. The Naples Players is devoted to their community and relies on the generous volunteers who eagerly participate to create each season utilizing more than 700 volunteers who provide more than 65,000 volunteer hours annually to produce 9 mainstage productions, 6 education productions, readers theatre, special community events, and more.

The Production Manager is the principal leader of the Production Departments and helps to merge the creative processes with implementation strategies to achieve organizational and artistic goals.

To facilitate the achievement of the highest quality art on TNPs stages while adhering to schedules, budgets, volunteer needs, and managing staff to positive outcomes.

Create, evaluate, and manage production, rehearsal, technical, and performance schedules and calendar with the Production Stage Manager, which include but are not limited to: Designer Deadlines, Load-In / Change-over schedules, Work schedules created by departmental managers
Create, maintain, and manage all production budgets
Assist Departmental Managers in meeting all production deadlines within budget while achieving the highest level of artistic quality possible.
Guide all director/design teams through the design process to guarantee the timely completion of all designs. With the input of appropriate technical staff, analyze all designs submitted to determine feasibility of execution within the allotted time, money and personnel available.
Obtaining designs from designers
Disseminating designs to directors, executive artistic director, and production team
Assist departmental managers in getting designs finalized on time and within budget while maintaining artistic quality
Attend all tech rehearsals and previews and run production meetings following each
Develop working relationships with area designers, production managers, technicians, and actively scout new talent in an effort to bring projects, scripts, playwrights, designers, directors, or other artists to the artistic teams attention.
Facilitate clear communications throughout the production process, and act as a liaison between directors, designers, stage managers, and other production and administrative staff.
Coordinate crossover projects between departments
Assist production departmental managers with unexpected problem solving
As necessary, support productions with hands-on projects including (but not limited to) special effects, video and projections, assisting with stage work, purchasing, sourcing and researching materials and techniques.
Act as liaison between departmental managers and administrative staff to facilitate ancillary work requests
Manage Production elements related to space rental events
Oversee facility, scene shop, and equipment rentals. Including but not limited to updating fee schedule and policies, fielding all requests, meeting with prospects, negotiating contracts and acting as or hiring and supervising the technical liaison when the facility is rented to outside organizations.
Work with each department to facilitate maintenance of stage equipment and purchase new equipment as needed
Ensure building wide safety procedures
Facilitate tech needs for Marketing and Development events
Act as an ambassador to promote TNP

Strong interpersonal communication, across age, gender, race, sexual orientation, etc.
Working knowledge of industry best practices
In-depth knowledge of scale drawings understanding of CAD, GoogleSketchup or other design software
Strong understanding of the world of Production Management.
Desire to help volunteers enter the artistic process on the production side, and to achieve successful results.
