Description
The DSS, Inc. Production Technician is an entry-level to experienced level live show technical position. We maintain a local and nation-wide presence for events that happen year to year. Tasks include prepping shows, loading/unloading trucks, loading in, loading out, setup and removal of shows, operation of technical equipment during shows for live audiences or remote audiences, cleaning and maintaining equipment. Production Technicians can have a focus area of Audio, Video, LED, Lightings, Fabrication or a General area. We are willing to train the right people, and we are willing to learn from the right people as well.

Job Tasks
As a technician you will be responsible for set up, operation of and tear down of live event systems
Self-guided growth in the department of focus, being Audio, Video, LED or Lighting
Make sure equipment is maintained either through self-servicing the equipment during warehouse shifts; training is provided
Technicians are responsible for loading and unloading trucks for equipment to be taken to and from show sites.
Works as a team player with other Technicians and helps out with anything show related.
Be on time and punctual for all call times, including warehouse shifts, as scheduled by the Operations Manager.

Takes ownership of all equipment and is on top of communication.
Takes interest in equipment and spends time on self-growth in their area of focus.
Able and willing to function on tasks as part of a team or individual.
Able to take initiative without direction and able to pick up and drop assigned tasks due to higher priority interruptions.
Lift 50 to 75lbs.
Knowledgeable on complete setup, operation, and strike of professional sound systems, lighting systems, and video systems preferred **OR** willingness to learn. Training is provided for new technicians.
Knowledge of ** OR ** willingness to learn signal and power flow.
Ability to work long hours. Show shifts can average up to 18 hours.

Logistics
Get and maintain Class B Commercial Drivers License. Dss, Inc. provides training and vehicles.
Drive truck for transferring equipment between warehouses and show sites.
Make deliveries and pickups for scheduled equipment.
Help ensure clear docks and assist loading and unloading.
