$3500-$4000 DOE, Plus housing, plus $200 towards t flat fee

Keep in communication with the TD about the build schedule, construction of
scenery, painting and requirements for show changeovers.
Assist TD in set-up of Scenery and Costume Shop for the summer
Construct any scenery and venue items, as assigned by the TD, under safety, OSHA, and theatrical union guidelines

Assist TD and crew to safely load-in Scenery at the venue as scheduled
Assist with the safe installation of Seating, Green Room, Dressings Rooms, as
Complete build for remaining shows after Load-In #1 while responding to
rehearsal needs and issues that arise after Set Walkable
Other production duties as assigned

Run of Show
Maintain all scenery and respond to all Performance reports as needed
Serve as the Deck Captain, and main point of contact for any production needs on-site during performances
In consultation with TD, manage and execute all changeovers as safely and efficiently as possible
Other production duties as assigned
In conjunction with Stage Management, maintain a clean and safe backstage area

Strike, inventory and store all Scenery as previously determined by PM/TD
Assist PM in managing inventory processes for all departments, helping to
execute transport and set-up at warehouse/storage

Desired Qualifications:
Experience working as a theatrical construction with a comprehensive understanding of building methods + techniques
Demonstrated interest in theatre
Will maintain a safe working environment and execute all work calls under the safety standards set by the Director of Production and Technical Director
Ability to work flexibly as a team member and present a positive attitude
Ability to multi-task multiple projects, maintain organization, and be detail oriented
Self-motivated, with a mature, positive, and enthusiastic attitude towards the goal of providing the highest quality work possible, in a mutually supportive environment.
Ability to work at heights from ladders, personnel lifts, and catwalks.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Demonstrated interest leading a team and mentoring others

Parallel 45 Theatre produces cutting-edge interpretations of classic plays, giving familiar stories new life and fresh relevance for our northwest Michigan audience. By producing a repertory of reinvented classics, new works and imaginative adaptations, we seek to entertain, encourage critical thought, and inspire conversation in our community. Since 2010, Parallel 45 Theatre has brought more than 150 artists from across the country and around the world to create groundbreaking shows for our audiences. In 2020, Parallel 45 Theatre will host a 5-week season featuring 4 shows in rotating repertory in our brand new outdoor theatre at Traverse Citys Civic Center Park from July 2 August 2, 2020
