150/week plus housing per week

Internships at WHAT are designed to provide professional training for undergraduate students or recent graduates with a passion for the theater and the performing arts. WHATs interns are an integral part of our summer team, and work alongside WHATs staff and artists in support of the creation of critically-acclaimed, thought-provoking theater. As an intern you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the day-to-day and long-term workings of a theater company, and assume responsibility for personal projects that are critical to company operations. All interns are provided with housing and receive a weekly stipend.

PRODUCTION
Working in collaboration with WHATs production staff and guest designers, production interns are involved in all areas of theatrical production including set construction and painting, electrics, wardrobe, stage management and sound, and serve as run-crew for our main stage productions.

ADMINISTRATION
Administrative interns work in collaboration with WHATs marketing, development, company management and box office staff providing day-to-day support of WHATs internal operations.

PERFORMANCE
Performance interns will have the opportunity to perform in productions on both our mainstage and in the Larry Phillips Performance Pavilion, as well as in programs in our community. Performance interns will also work with stage management and administrative staff to experience a broad spectrum of theatrical training. Please include a headshot and performance resume with your application materials. Candidates are encouraged to attend our season audition in February (dates TBD).

EXPECTATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Flexibility with changing priorities and demands.
Ability to collaborate, analyze and problem-solve.
Available for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks between May and September.
Current undergraduate, or recent college graduate.
