The Hangar Theatre, an Equity summer theatre celebrating its 47th season as one of the nation’s pre-eminent summer theatres, is seeking a Prop Fellow. This summer we are moving our stage outdoors, producing 5 Mainstage shows (The Realness, Once, Sweeney Todd, Queens Girl in the World, and Odyssey Project), 4 children’s theatre shows (Elephant and Piggie: We are in a Play, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Stoo’s Famous American Martian Gumbo, and The Little Mermaid), and 4 experimental shows. The Prop Fellow will help lead a 4 person department creating the summer seasons. Must have ability to balance multiple projects at once and either strong prop carpentry or craft work skills. Housing is provided if needed. Work environment is positive, challenging, and holds high artistic integrity. Ability to lead and train interns is essential. May serve as the Assistant Prop Master or Prop Artisan on shows as assigned.
