POSITION SUMMARY:
The Production Coordinator reports and provides support to the Producing Artistic Director and the Director of Production to ensure all productions and events are within projected scope of budget, time, safety and personnel resources; is in charge of auditions and casting, oversees the Stage Management team, as well as the activities and responsibilities of the Company Manager (including guest artist housing, transportation, etc.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Plan, organize, and manage auditions for all productions throughout the season, and serve as point person to those auditioning
Make and negotiate casting offers, and oversee the execution of actor contracts
Serve as point person for all AEA issues and communications
Creation of the Artistic Budget in conjunction with the Producing Artistic Director and the Director of Production
Provide support to administrative staff at-large with the needs of each production and special events throughout the season (particularly the Finance and Marketing departments)
Maintain production calendars in tandem with the Assistant Production Manager
Hire and supervise all Stage Managers in conjunction with the Resident Stage Manager and provide support and mentorship to coordinate tasks, including required paperwork, and to troubleshoot technical and special rehearsals with other production staff managers
Provide support to the Company Manager to anticipate the needs of all guest artists
Track and maintain budget items relating to all company members in tandem with the Company Manager

Maintain the actor database for assistance in future casting

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to climb stairs and ladders
Ability to lift 45lbs. on occasion

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in theatre
Minimum five (5) years experience in a professional theatre environment
Stage Management experience
Valid Drivers License, clean driving record, and use of an automobile

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to Actors Equity Association (including LORT and Staged Reading Guidelines)
Knowledge of the casting process in a regional theatre
Demonstrated ability to negotiate with actors and agents
Knowledge of the technical rehearsal process, and ability to lead production meetings
Strong office, computer, written, verbal and detailed organizational skills
Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Apps skills
Sense of humor, and the ability to tactfully diffuse tense situations
