SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This manager will work in partnership with the Head of the Lighting Department, Production Manager,
Asst. Production Manager and Company Manager. Maintain the integrity of the show lighting for all
performances and make necessary adjustments as necessary. Perform maintenance as necessary and
directed.
+#10070; Run follow spot cue tracks as directed for performances, rehearsals, and special events
+#10070; Inspect and maintain lighting equipment, as well as update maintenance and inspection records as directed
+#10070; Maintain a safe working environment at all times by adhering to all established safety policies and procedures; participate in all required safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training;
+#10070; Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, rehearsal/training, maintenance and performances;
+#10070; Preserve the on-going; long-term opening night quality, the lighting designers vision, and the artistic integrity of the production according to the artistic and technical needs;
+#10070; Work closely with the Department Supervisor in supporting the shows needs during rehearsals and performances;
+#10070; Ensure equipment and supplies are stocked in sufficient quantity to ensure the on- going needs of the production;
+#10070; Maintain a safe working environment by conforming to all established safety
policies and procedures;
+#10070; Observe safe wiring practices and maintain equipment in accordance with industry
standards for safe operations;
+#10070; Participate in special projects, including the installation of new lighting show
elements;
+#10070; Develop a thorough knowledge of Lighting Department equipment specific to the
production in order to operate it safely;
+#10070; Demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure, be self-motivated and provide
a positive work environment both inside the department and site-wide;
+#10070; Participate in outdoor Set-up and Tear-down as directed by supervisor;
+#10070; Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.

Job Requirements:
+#10070; At least one year of experience as a professional lighting technician or equivalent training
+#10070; Comprehension of basic principles of AC/DC electricity, basic electronics, and computer operations as it pertains to lighting systems
+#10070; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
+#10070; Knowledge of OSHA preferred;
+#10070; Experience with Forklift preferred;
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
+#10070; Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
+#10070; Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns
+#10070; Ability to effectively manage time and schedules
+#10070; Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment
+#10070; Knowledge of all federal, state, and local codes and ordinances pertinent to facilities planning,
design, and maintenance
+#10070; Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
+#10070; Ability to work in all weather conditions
+#10070; Ability to lift 40lbs
+#10070; Ability to be flexible in work scheduling and on-call +#10070;

Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to think analytically and to resourcefully draw accurate conclusions

Experience using software packages, including MS Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
(Emphasis on the use of Excel)
Ability to adapt to change and operate rationally under dynamic pressure situation
Ability to function as team member and effectively build relationships with management, peers
Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities with effective distribution of time and effort.
Ability to work cross functionally within a matrix organization.
