Now Hiring: Master Electrician who enjoys childrens theatricals to join our 2019 touring production of The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Musical.

Responsible for insuring the realization of the light plot, hanging and circuiting the lighting units according to the plot; familiar with how to hang, circuit, focus, and change the lamp in any of the lighting units, using accessories such as color, templates, and barndoors is essential.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Participate in production meetings and phone conferences prior to the tour dates
Participate in shop prep prior to travel to tech
Assist with the technical advance with venues, vendors and touring crew for each engagement in conjunction with the Tour Manager
Supervise and direct local crew for all load-ins, shows, and load-outs
Execute the load-in of the tours lighting rig, including power distro, plot hang, patching, focus, and any necessary reprogramming
Maintain all tour lighting equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting on moving fixtures, LEDs, and console when necessary
Operate spot light for performances, at Stage Managers calls
Ensure that all equipment and show supplies are ready for movement post-show
Participate in truck pack
Ensure that the team adheres to all safety procedures
Assist Tour Manager and other staff as necessary
Lead a smooth, successful and enjoyable workplace.

Must have prior touring experience
Must be proficient with ETC Ion consoles
Must be experienced with programming moving and LED fixtures
Pixel tape experience is a plus
Must have at least 2 years of experience touring
Must have experience working in Union houses, under Union rules
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be self-motivated and have strong leadership skills
Must be able to solve problems when and if they arise
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an outgoing, positive dynamic personality to engage partners and team members
Able to work varied hours and commit 100% of time for regional travel and work on the road for the entire tour
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be willing to work through the holidays in November and December
Employment contingent upon completion of background check

Preferred Skills:

Higher consideration will be given to candidates:

With at least 3 years theatrical tour experience
Who have previously worked with minors on theatrical productions
And have with a background in musical theatre

Additional Information:

Lighting Prep: Week of October 21st, exact dates TBD
Travel to Tech: October 27th
Tech in Easton, PA: October 28th - November 14th
Tour dates: November 15th - December 29th
Travel home: December 30th

This is a bus and truck tour, most nights will be spent on the sleeper bus
Salary Minimum: $1,000.00 weekly
Per-Diem: $40 per day
