Looking for a Lighting Designer/Board Operator for the show, Quantum Debt, a show about a college student struggling to cope with her college debt. This is a movement-based piece rooted in quantum physics. It looks at the differing reality of the American Dream for the GenX and Millennial generations.

Silver Glass is a NYC movement-based company that uses scientific concepts to infuse their movement work. This is based in the belief that the scientific and psychological domains are closely related.


The Lighting Designer will be responsible for all aspects of lighting/video operations for the show from start to finish. The ability to work as part of a team is critical for this position.
We are looking for a creative problem solver who approaches their work with a positive attitude and thrives being in a team environment.

Must be vaccinated. All cast and crew required to show proof of vaccination. Rehearsals will be masked/zoned/daily sign-in/sanitzer on premises.

attend production meeting (2 hours, TBD, ~09/13-17)
attend venue walkthrough (1 hour, TBD 11/23-30)
obtain lighting plot/ground plan from theater
attend design run through TBD
o prepare rough cue synopsis
tech rehearsal (12/01/21)
o hang/gel/focus lights
o set up lighting/sound board
o build light and sound cues
run the show (sound and light) (12/02/21-12/19/21)
reset lights after the last show

Proficiency with ETC 48/96, Qlab
Focus and lighting adjustments to show specifications
Operate, maintain and set up video/projection systems
Lighting Control Boards operation + programming
Distribute or create lighting plot plans
Oversee and operate systems pertaining to lighting throughout the entire event
Assist audio crew with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
Motivated self-starter
Excellent communication skills, professional manner, promptness, and a desire to collaborate are vital.
BFA/BA in technical theatre and at least 2 years professional experience.

Compensation: $1000 for the run
