As Director of Operations at Creative Visions, your role will be to lead a team of passionate professionals as they collaborate to combine strategy, design and technology to deliver engaging experiences to audiences. Youll become a part of a 30 year legacy of service to clients and the community. The ideal team member will have 7+ years experience as a manager in the live event production industry, a knack for defining and implementing processes, and demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, coach, and mentor a high performance team.

Role Description

Key accountabilities include recruiting, training, and retaining a team of passionate professionals, guiding the team in the use of the CV Proven Process, maintaining an efficient Operations Process, and orchestrating all internal and external resources to assure the achievement of client objectives, client satisfaction, and company profitability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to:

Lead effectively/manage efficiently/practice accountability
Serve and actively participate on the CV Leadership Team
Oversee the department in an efficient, effective and profitable manner
Champion the effective use of the CV Proven Process
Create, maintain and implement the Operations Process
Collaborate with sales personnel in the development and presentation of proposals
Assure accuracy and quality of proposals, contracts, and budgets
Design and initiate project planning process
Monitor the progress of projects and utilization of internal and external resources
Manage potential issues and risks, assure successful execution of projects
Collaborate with sales in the management of the corporate client retention process
Assure the maintenance and protection of capital assets
Recruit, train, mentor and retain department employees
Oversee staff meeting content development and execution
Manage CV training programs and requests for direct reports
Update job knowledge by participation in educational opportunities, reading professional and business publications, maintaining personal networking, and participation in professional and civic organizations
Uphold and conduct business with high level of integrity
Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Perform other job related duties as needed or assigned

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree minimum, preferably in meetings, events, marketing, business or relatedCSEP, PMP, CMP, CMM, CITE or other applicable designation preferable
7+ years event, meeting, and/or conference industry experience
Excellent verbal and documented written communication skills
Strong multi-tasking skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to plan and prioritize
Complex problem solving ability
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Ability to travel required - maximum 30%

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Understand and live by the Creative Vision Core Values
Familiarity with all aspects of event and media production
Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team of professionals
Demonstrated ability to maintain client budgets and company profitability
Ability to direct and lead teammates through the complete production cycle
Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce office procedures
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
Ability to manage several projects at a time
Ability to work extended hours as required
Coordinate tasks, information and timelines with internal and external resources
Skilled in the use of Mac computers utilizing Windows-based operating environment including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point
Familiarity with Keynote and Pages preferred
