TITLE: Technical Director
EVENTS: Seasonal Entertainment Event; Orlando, FL
REPORTS TO: Event(s) Producers and EPIC Technical Director

Working on a fast-paced, deadline-driven Special Event, this role is a Seasonal Position. Were looking for someone who is highly self-motivated and equally talented. This position requires creativity with a high level of detail and problem solving. The prime candidate for the Technical Director is someone who can multi-task and manage day-to-day operational notes and changes. Both prior to opening and maintaining shows.

Serve as a key member of our Events Department Management Team.
Coordinates technical aspects of event design and logistics based on Executive Producer/Creative Director/Epic Team vision and client budget requirements.
Construct detailed project estimates on a timely basis.
Prepare notes and presentations; be able to present plans and pricing, make required changes as needed, and follow process through sales and completion of the event.
Supervise all event logistics, including hiring, crew management, scheduling and supervision.
Proficient background in stage, rigging, lighting, audio, video, power, etc.
Detailed and thorough post-event follow up with vendors.
Able to effectively communicate, present, and explain concepts and ideas to teams and departments in a professional manner.
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
Experience working with Themed Events and/or Entertainment.
Attention to detail in time-sensitive situations.
Must be willing to work OT as needed.

Minimum of 5 years work experience in the Film, Tv, Theater, and/or Event Production.
Working knowledge of technologies, materials, and building techniques for event production.
Must have the necessary skills to present creative solutions, and a combination of resolving methods.
Hands-on experience with all relevant production gear and tools is required.
Must possess the ability and willingness to work nights and/or weekends.
This position also requires a strong understanding of all technical aspects of putting on a large-scale event production.

Experience with Concept Sketching, Floor Plan/Space Development, Presentation Layouts, Basic Construction Drawings, and familiarity with Adobe Suite Software (AutoCad), Vectorworks, or Sketch-up.
