Theatre Three, a year round professional not-for-profit theatre, in Port Jefferson, NY, is seeking a Group Sales Coordinator to join our team of theater professionals!

As the Group Sales Coordinator, you will have a growth mindset, working daily to strengthen and nurture new and existing clients, setting and attaining sales goals across multiple group channels. You will be a theater ambassador with a passion for theatre arts.

You will be responsible for, among other things, the following:

- Directing the theater sales efforts, coordinating with the Director of Marketing to implement marketing, promotion, and website efforts to increase theatre traffic

- Sales execution (e. g. answering inbound calls from group clients, performing outbound prospecting and responding to client questions and settling up reservations.)

- Advancement of existing sales channels

- Developing and implementing strategies to grow our business

- Prospecting to develop new business partners through networking, referrals and cold calls

- Learning, developing and creating new ways for Theatre Three to differentiate itself in the marketplace

- Building relationships with group leaders

- Doubling as box office reservationist during busy hours

- Preparing and maintaining necessary reports on customer/prospect information

- Acting as spokesperson for the theatre in the community

- Coordinating with the Director of Marketing to manage social media campaigns

- Keep a record of all sales and payments towards group sales

- Annual reconciliation of all sales and payments with Managing Director in preparation of annual audit

- The Group Sales Coordinator will also interact on a routine basis with Senior Management and will be expected to present sales related information in a clear and concise manner at monthly Board of Director's meetings

- Attend all weekly staff meetings

You must have strong interpersonal skills and be extremely professional to represent the business in a highly engaging, respectful and professional way. You must possess excellent writing skills with a focus on being clear and concise. Your verbal communication skills should be superior. Previous sales experience preferred. Experience in theatre or performing arts a significant plus.

Position specifics:

Non-show day hours: Tuesday-Friday, 10 am - 4 pm

Show day hours: Vary depending on show times (requires some flexibility to work evening, weekends and holidays)

Attend all performances where you have large groups

Set up and assist the running of groups receptions

Compensation: Biweekly pay based on Tiered Commission
