Props Supervisor
Syracuse Stage, a leading LORT theatre in residence at Syracuse University, is accepting resumes for a Props Supervisor.

The Syracuse Stage Props Shop produces for both Syracuse Stage, working with professional house staff, designers and directors from nearby NYC and across the nation, and the SU Drama Department working with student and faculty designers. Supervisor leads a staff that includes props carpenter, props artisan, student intern labor, and occasional over-hire labor.

Ideal Candidate Skills and Qualities:
Successful candidates will have several years experience in professional theatre, proven ability to search for and acquire items from a wide variety of production styles and periods from the local and national theatre communities. Can lead and participate in prop construction using a variety of skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to consistently produce high quality work, both independently and as a team leader are necessary. Must be able to manage time, budgets and people well, balancing multiple projects in various stages of production in a fast paced work environment. Proven ability to create and lead a positive work environment is key to this position.

Position Dates and Salary:
Position is full-time exempt, annual, salaried position starting at $832/week and includes a significant benefit package. Please see our website for information on our Annual Full Time Benefits package.

Physical Demands + Working Conditions:
Work may require routine physical exertion including working at heights, lifting objects of approximately 50 lbs., and craft work with a variety of chemical source materials. Knowledge to use, and train others in the proper use of power tools, safety equipment and precautions is required. Successful candidate will be a licensed driver.
