Astoria Performing Arts Center, an award-winning off-off-Broadway theater company, is hiring a Technical Director/Master Carpenter to begin immediately for its spring production of Caroline, or Change at the Broccoli Theater at the Variety Boys + Girls Club of Queens (21-12 30th Rd).

We take production values seriously and seek a creative problem solver with excellent communication skills to join our team. This is a part-time position with some schedule requirements which will mainly be in the evening and on weekends.

Load in/build begins: April 13th
First Performance: May 2nd
Final Performance: May 25th
Strike: TBD

Duties include:
-Report to and work closely with APACs Production Manager and Assistant Production Manager
-Construction and other duties associated with the creation of the scenic design.
-Help to supervise and work with a crew of employees and volunteers during build, load in, and strike.
-Valid NY State Drivers License and ability to drive a rented van a plus.
-Work within the venue hours and rules as agreed to by APAC.
