Meadow Brook Theatre, in Rochester Michigan, is currently accepting resumes/applications for our 2019-20 season. We fully produce 6 shows a season and remount A Christmas Carol every season. As well as hosting a childrens series. We are looking for versatility in our interns, the ability to work in several different departments and a Can do Attitude.

Positions/descriptions available:
1 Scene Shop Intern
o Would work primarily in the Scene Shop Scenic Paint skills a plus
o Must be able to lift at least 60lbs
o Would be on the backstage crew for at least 1 show
o Would be involved in all Light hang and focus calls
1 Prop/Scene Shop intern
o Would work primarily in the Properties department however, would also work in the Scene shop if needed

+#61607; Basic Building Skills
+#61607; Basic Scenic Paint skills
o Would possibly be on the backstage crew
o Must be able to lift at least 40lbs
o Would be involved in all Light hang and focus calls
2 Costume Interns both interns must have the skills to stitch and be on wardrobe crew.
o Must have basic sewing skills
o Wigs, make-up and Craft Skills a plus
o Would also work on the backstage crew
o Would be involved in all Light hang and focus calls
1 SM/PM Intern
o Would also work on a backstage crew
o Position includes points toward becoming equity
o Would be involved in all Light hang and focus calls
1 Lighting/Scene Shop Intern
o Would work in Light Department
o Would ALSO work in the Scene shop Building skills a plus
o Would work on the backstage crew/Spot Operator
o Would be involved in Light hang and focus calls

*PLEASE NOTE: ALL INTERNS MUST HAVE AT LEAST A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF LIGHTS (Hang and Focus).* AS WELL AS, BE WILLING TO WORK ALL LOAD-INS AND STRIKES.

What is involved in this internship:
Contract Dates are approx. September 2019 to (end of) June 2020
$300.00 per week (housing is not provided)
Cleaning
A clear working knowledge of a Professional Theatre
Lending support to the departments assigned
Intern meetings
Work 48 hours a week (overtime will be honored after 48 hrs. have been worked within a 7 day period)
Mid-season reviews
Needs to be team oriented but can also maintain the stamina, focus, initiative needed to work individually.
Ability to switch departments if needed
o Including working for load-ins and strikes
Ability to play well with others
Possess a sense of humor
Possess a good/can do attitude
Possess problem solving skills
A willingness to learn
Airport Runs
A willingness to work long hours if needed

Contract dates are September 2019 to (end of) June 2020, $300.00 per week (Housing is not provided). Equity candidacy points are given to SM intern.
