The Hangar Theatre, an Equity summer theatre celebrating its 47th season as one of the nation’s pre-eminent summer theatres, is seeking a Sound Intern. This summer we are moving our stage outdoors, producing 5 Mainstage shows (The Realness, Once, Sweeney Todd, Queens Girl in the World, and Odyssey), 4 children’s theatre shows (Elephant and Piggie: We are in a Play, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Stoo’s Famous American Martian Gumbo, and The Little Mermaid) and 4 experimental shows. The position is expected to assist in the overall operation of the sound department. Must be knowledgeable in basic audio signal flow, the Yamaha M7CL, and QLab. This position will run shows as assigned. Work environment is positive, challenging, and holds high artistic integrity. The intern may get the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Sound Engineer on a children’s theatre and/or experimental production.
