$18/hr + DOE bimonthly

Go Button Productions is seeking over-hire production crew for shop work including carpentry, welding, and scenic painting, as well as installations and strikes.

Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Minimum two years experience preferred in areas of carpentry, lighting, and/or set design.
Knowledge of woodworking practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, safety and applicable building codes.
Knowledge of and experience working with electricity, show control, scenic elements, stage sets, props, lighting systems, costumes and sound equipment.
Knowledge of scenic painting techniques, tools and equipment, and materials.
Ability to work with various materials, including lumber, acrylics, paint.
Experience as a stagehand working special events and shows a plus.
Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material estimates.
Will assist with the load, installation and strike of scenic components.
Assist with the movement of show equipment, to include the coordination of logistics to and from productions.
Ability to climb a wire rope ladder or tower leg and work with equipment at heights of 50' or more using safety equipment with a maximum 300 lb. load limit.
Ability to read and understand technical and build drawings.
Must be available to work various shifts, including some evenings and weekends.

Work Environment:
This role typically
Requires frequent work to be performed in a scenic shop, design studio, outdoor and client locations from time to time.
Operates in a hybrid environment; primarily in a scenic shop setting with some exposure to a professional office setting and client locations.
Occasional use of office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 35 pounds.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
This is a seasonal/temporary position that may lead to part-time work. Hours of work will vary based on the client, event and production schedules to include evenings, weekend and holidays.

This position requires approximately 35% travel; most of which is local or West Coast.

Required Education and Experience:
Two years experience in Theater Production, Design, or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
