The Production Manager is a senior staff position that provides overall supervision for each area in the production department including Scenery, Costumes, Electrics, Sound, Projections, Properties, Stage Management, and Stage Operations. Works closely with Producing Artistic Director, Associate Artistic Director, and Education Director to achieve current artistic goals and strategize short and long-term artistic goals.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight of all production functions including: Scenery, Costumes, Electrics, Sound, Projections and Special Effects, Properties, Stage Management, Stage Operations, and Theatre for Young Audiences; ensuring financial, artistic, and operational goals of each area are set and accomplished.
Develop, in conjunction with the Producing Artistic Director, annual production budget as well as individual show budgets; maintain expenses within the production budget.
Arrange and execute all design and technical contracts, and identify and secure rentals, purchases, and fabrication of production-related aspects of each season- sets, costumes, drops, etc.
Responsible for developing and distributing production schedules.
Manages logistics for rehearsal, load in, run, and load out, and any other activities pertaining to staged performances.
Manage production payroll, labor schedules, and relationships with third party vendors.
Maintain archives of budgets, prompt scripts, and other production related material.
Work with facility managers to ensure adherence to resident contract and collaborate with them to schedule GET events.
Hire, oversee, and schedule the stage management and Leitalift interns.
Responsible for additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Required

2- 3 years production management or related experience.
Excellent production budgeting and planning skills.
Current working knowledge of theatrical equipment and current industry standards and safety regulations.
Ability to work flexible hours and schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong project management skills, attention to detail with the ability to anticipate, pre-empt and resolve potential problems, ability to work well under pressure; ability to successful multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities and deadlines among multiple projects with overlapping time frames.
High emotional IQ, including good listening and diplomacy skills; excellent and effective communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective professional relationships with colleagues; understand the value of creative problem solving.
Ability to think creatively- develop, design, and implement new ideas, systems, and relationships.

This is a full-time salaried position.
Salary range $30,000-$33,000.
