Job Summary: The successful candidate will be working with Rail Events Productions during the fall and winter of 2018 to present THE POLAR EXPRESS TRAIN RIDE in Ft Lauderdale, FL on Brightline Railroad. The Audio Technicians/Operators will work with the Production Audio Engineer, Sound Designer, and production team during preproduction and load in to install all audio systems in accordance to the system designs and railroad safety standards. They will be responsible for the operation of the audio systems during the entire run of the event. They will also be required to maintain the audio systems and serve as a troubleshooter in the event of system problems. They will work under the supervision of the Production Audio Engineer, the Production Manager, and the Stage Manager. Because of the nature of the live event they may be required to assist in any event related items as required. They will advise the Stage Manager and Production Manager of any technical or artistic needs that may arise to keep the integrity of the sound designs.

Experience and Requirements:

Experience as an audio technician.
Experience with Dante and hold an Audinate Dante Level 1 Certification.
Experience with RF systems and Wireless Workbench.
Must be willing to travel between Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
Must be willing and available to work some overnight hours.
Ability to work alongside the production staff as a team member in an ever changing environment.
Possess a well-spoken manner in personal communications.
Self-motivation and attention to details.
Be physically capable of lifting heavy objects.
Must be 18 or over.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with the Production Audio Engineer and production staff to install and maintain audio systems for the event.
Operate, maintain and repair the audio systems throughout the duration of the event.
Responsible for seeing that the sound designs are maintained with artistic integrity throughout the duration of the event.
Works under the Stage Manager to operate the audio systems during the event.
Assist the electricians with lighting systems as needed.
Work with the production staff during load out to see that event space is returned to the railroad appropriately.
Works with the Director and production staff during rehearsals to incorporate last minute changes.
Become familiar with railroad safety rules.
Works with the entire event team to maintain a positive, enjoyable, and rewarding environment for all staff and passengers.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent

Compensation:
Compensation to be negotiated per candidates experience
