$30 per hour, $1200-1600 Weekly per week

Showstopper (located in Myrtle Beach, SC) is one of the nation's first and largest dance competition. Each year, we engage with over 100,000 dancers in over 60 cities and work hard to provide an unmatched and extraordinary experience for all of our participants. We are looking for Touring Event Technicians to join our team for an exciting and fast paced 41th season.


Setup and teardown of professional Audio, Video, Lighting, Pipe + Drape and Staging equipment.
Operation of equipment during the event as needed (I.E. Camera Operator, Lighting Console Operator, Video Switcher, And Jib Operator)
Lifting and physical work are required, upwards of 50 pounds.
Interact with staff in a positive and professional manner.
Responsible for compliance with all safety and security procedures.
Must be able and willing to work 12+ Hour shifts as needed.

Confident and authoritative with ability to interact with children, parents and staff
Tenacity and ability to think on your feet in stressful situations
Understanding of theatrical terms and directions


Valid drivers license and or Passport ( For Travel Purposes )
Minimum of a High School Diploma
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred
2 years of relevant work experience is a plus but not necessary Previous touring event experience will take priority

Bonus qualifications:
Video switcher setup and operation: NewTek Tricaster 455/60 and 855/60
Media server operation: Arkaos Media Master, Hippotizer V3/V4.
Camera operation: Sony,Canon and Cammate Jib Operation
LED Video Panel: Elation, ADJ
Lighting Consoles Programming: Hog4

These positions require 100% travel. You will be traveling to and from your home base each week before and after the event (Typically leaving on a Thursday returning on a Monday).

Due to the nature of our customers all applicants must consent to a drug test and background check.

Time Commitment: Mid February- End of May. Exact schedule and location will be determined upon hiring. If everything works out well. You also may get the opportunity work one of our National Finals which run from June 16th to July 23th.
