Florida Repertory Theatre seeks Costume/Wardrobe Internship Candidates for its 2018/2019 Season.
Costume/Wardrobe Interns work in the Costume Shop in all aspects of costume production throughout the season. Interns will be exposed to guest artists and designers throughout the season gaining opportunities to work and learn alongside in a collaborative environment. Primary responsibilities include tasks in shop and stock maintenance, garment construction, executing alterations, attending fittings, wardrobe show assignments and show maintenance. Additional opportunities in wig styling and maintenance, costume design assistance, and costume crafts are available on a show to show basis. Applicants must be hard-working, self-motivated, well organized, independent, inquisitive, and focused during overlapping costume production needs and builds. They also must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Our season consists of five Main Stage productions, four Studio productions, as well as three TYA Touring shows and the Education Departments Conservatory production of Newsies. In addition to its work on stage as a regional theatre company, Florida Rep has very active and vital Education + Outreach arm that includes Children's Touring + Lunchbox Theatre, Summer Camp and an audition-only Theatre Conservatory Program.

Primary Responsibilities:
+middot;+nbsp;+nbsp;+nbsp;After reading script, assist with the creation of all necessary paperwork for the Costume Bible for each show and/or for running wardrobe during rehearsal and performances of all Mainstage, Studio, and Outreach productions.
+middot;+nbsp;+nbsp;+nbsp;Assist Shop Manager and Assistant Costume Shop Supervisor to prepare costume needs prior to each production such as:
+sect;+nbsp;+nbsp;Assist with collecting measurements from actors and participation in fittings as scheduled.
+sect;+nbsp;+nbsp;Participate in the building, pulling and shopping of all costumes and costume accessories for all productions.
+middot;+nbsp;+nbsp;+nbsp;Function as Wardrobe Supervisor or Dresser for mainstage and studio productions as assigned.
+middot;+nbsp;+nbsp;+nbsp;Under supervision of Shop Manager and Assistant Costume Shop Supervisor, assist with the maintenance, upkeep, and repair of costumes and stock, wigs, and accessories during all rehearsals and performances. Includes sewing, laundry, dry cleaning, and other related duties.
+middot;+nbsp;+nbsp;+nbsp;Help to maintain a clean and organized work space.
+middot;+nbsp;+nbsp;+nbsp;Attend company meetings and company runs of productions as required.
+middot;+nbsp;+nbsp;+nbsp;Assist with the return of all borrowed / loaned/ rented costumes after show closes.
+middot;+nbsp;+nbsp;+nbsp;Participate in load-in and strike.
+middot;+nbsp;+nbsp;+nbsp;Complete assignments, projects, and paperwork in a timely manner.
+middot;+nbsp;+nbsp;+nbsp;Maintain a professional demeanor in appearance, communication, and attitude.
+middot;+nbsp;+nbsp;+nbsp;Perform other related duties and assignments as necessary.
