Dragon Productions Theater Company in downtown Redwood City is looking to fill the position of Box Office Manager. Key Details below:



OPERATIONAL DETAILS

The Box Office manager will set up regular box office hours at Dragon where said personnel will be on site to answer emails, phone calls, and walk ups. Said hours should be approximately 10 hours per week on site with possible hours off site. Dragon will work with the Box Office Manager to ensure that the box office hours work for both the parties. The hours will then be posted at Dragon and on the website. If the Box Office Manager cannot fulfil scheduled hours they must find other Dragon personnel who can work at the box office during that time.



Duties:

The Box Office Manager will also have regular duties beyond interacting with Dragon patrons and will include (but not be limited to) the following:

+middot; Hire and train house managers/concessions volunteers as needed.

+middot; Using Sign-Up Genius, ensure the box office is staffed for every performance at Dragon.

+middot; Make sure we have subscriber reserved seat signs for every performance.

+middot; Using Sign-Up Genius, ensure all volunteer shifts are covered for every performance at Dragon.

+middot; Perform concessions inventory once a week.

+middot; File weekly sales reports for Managing Director.

+middot; Work with Managing Director to solicit group sales.

+middot; Offer discount tickets via Goldstar and other sources.

+middot; Input events into the box office system as needed.

+middot; Set up weekly office hours in the lobby so that patrons can walk in and buy tickets.

+middot; Routinely answer box office emails and voicemails on non-performance days.

+middot; Process subscription sales that come in via snail mail.



Qualifications:

Professional and polite demeanor, top notch customer service skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and excellent communication skills in written and verbal form (in a timely manner: timely responses to Executive Directors and other staff correspondences). Familiarity with Gmail, Sign-Up Genius, VBO (or other ticketing software) is a plus.


Compensation: $13.50/hr to start
