Gary Musick Productions is a full-service event and entertainment production company based in Nashville, Tennessee providing support for corporations, agencies, associations, theatres, cruise ships, theme parks, and production companies for nearly 40 years.

Our company is unique because we offer full scenic and destination management services through our in-house divisions Gary Musick Scenic and Destination Musick City. The company currently has a fulltime staff of 26 professionals and employs 20-30 hourly/seasonal employees.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB FUNCTION
A key position at Gary Musick Productions in our Scenic department, the Warehouse Manager (WM) oversees and supervises the daily operations of our scenic rental warehouse space + load-dock workflow, ensures facilities and equipment are in excellent operating order, truck loads are executed in a timely and accurate manner, scenic loads are properly handled, and guarantees that material resources are available on a timely basis. The Warehouse Manager works closely with the Operations Manager, the Technical Director (TD), and the Assistant Technical Director along with scene shop personnel, creative personnel, and Producers.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Supervise and direct GMP crew chiefs or other warehouse personnel in pre-event pull / prep processes to insure best practices are applied during handling, re-stocking, loading and unloading. This would include the inspection of goods for paint and repair needs, cleaning, and properly wrapping before items get loaded on the trucks.
Occasionally will be required to lead/assist with truck loading/unloading and on-site set up and strike crews when additional labor is needed to support certain jobs
Proficient in the operation of a fork lift and a 24 box truck (a health certificate is required, and a CDL certification is preferred)
Lead and direct the post event warehouse restocking so that its completed in a timely manner.
Collaborates with Operations Manager and TD to define project goals and deadlines throughout the day/week.
Manages all Warehouse Project Goals + Deadlines, daily.
Reports operational warehouse labor + materials to ensure expenses are within defined budgets on a per-show basis.
Responsible for the fulfillment and execution of load sheets once obtained from the Operations Manager. Must communicate directly with producers or other relevant company personnel on any issues related to projects, installations, or other company events.
Double check Load Lists for every truck load. Email completed Load Lists to producers, Operations manager, TD, and crew chiefs. Labor + Project Reports: Track + manage crew + over-hire labor daily; results are uploaded electronically to department network [DropBox, time sheets, daily reports, etc].
Finalizes Crew Chief Reports after each event has been restocked and turns them over to the Operations Manager, TD and event Producer for final review and Job Tracking.
Report and record all scenic and prop damages to Operations Manager and ATD immediately when found.
Attends weekly Scenic department meetings.
When the Operations Manager is absent, the Operations Manager creates Load Lists, Crew Schedules, Reserves Trucks, etc.
Assist Producers and DMC Teams as needed with general inventory inquiries about size, count, location, quantity, condition, pricing and availability.
Maintain the warehouse and inventory so that goods are readily available at all times with minimal pull / prep effort. This includes Clean Room and Centerpiece / Soft Goods rooms.
Ensure all Operations team members are complying with GMP safety standards when operating special equipment such as fork lifts, scissor lifts etc. and reports all incidents to the ATD.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area in the warehouse at all times.
Available to work nights and weekends as Crew Chief or Crew member during busy periods.
Available to assist with set up and strike of companys internal promotional events (open houses, client walk-throughs, etc.)
This is a full-time position with incentives or special considerations given at times to offset heavy workloads or additional contributions outside of normal operating times.
This position may be subject to random drug testing as outlined in the employee handbook.
The company will provide necessary office equipment and furniture for an office set up convenient to the companys warehouse space.
