Chicago Flyhouse is a specialty rigging company primarily servicing the entertainment, multi-purpose venue, retail, church, and museum industries.

We specialize in the unusual requests of the rigging world by turning impossible challenges into extraordinary solutions. Our projects range from the complete overhaul of rigging equipment in theaters, sound absorption in some of the biggest sports arenas, to installing one of the largest motorized curtains in the United States. The Water Jet Operator with Flyhouse does not operate in the normal factory setting this position is known to function. We are a small team of individuals from a multitude of backgrounds with a common goal of creating high-quality, never before seen, and aesthetically pleasing products for our clients. The work is fast-paced, challenging, independent (but an all-hands-on-deck approach), and one of the most fascinating industries youve seen but never quite heard of before.

Experience in running and setting up water jet and CNC machining centers.
Experience with AutoCAD
Machining/Welding knowledge preferred
Heavy lifting (75-100 lbs)
Ability to use Bridge Crane and Forklift
General rigging knowledge
Ability to be on feet for up to 9 hours each day
Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as needed based
Ability to read, write and interpret written instructions, blueprints, shop drawings and engineering specifications in English
Able to program and retrieve DXF files from server and load into programming software to provide the best cutting process for operating software
CNC Operators are trained to use water jet cutting to process carbon and stainless steel.
Familiarity with Water Jet controls, operation, and preventative maintenance
Conduct secondary processing operations associated with the cutting process
Performs routine preventative maintenance and cleaning on waterjet and CNC router
Possesses sufficient knowledge to troubleshoot and accurately calibrate equipment
Ability to work with minimal supervision including setting up and operating all machines commonly found in a machine shop
Replace tubes, nozzles and other components as needed
Performs program offsets at machine controls if needed
Able to set up and/or make necessary changes to setups
Assists with maintenance and care of work area and shop as needed
Assist as required or assigned throughout the facility
Demonstrates strong attention to detail and is focused on accuracy
Proficient use of basic shop arithmetic

Salary Range: $20-24/hr
Full time with benefits (health, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off)
