Ragged Wing Ensembles Company Manager is at the center of all of Ragged Wings programs. This important position serves as Production Manager for the mainstage production, and manages the Core Artist program throughout the season. The Company Manager will collaborate with the Artistic Director to launch the School of Fierce Play, managing all logistics for the program and assisting in its design. As this program grows, this position will grow as well, with potential for an eventual full-time position. The Company Manager is also responsible for back end systems related to marketing RWE programs.

We are seeking a motivated professional to join our small but mighty team. The ideal candidate is a mature leader, versed in ensemble theater, passionate about Ragged Wings unique aesthetic and process, and works from an equity lens. The ideal candidate is a creative systems thinker who can both see the big picture and keep track of details, and is on a career path of arts management and leadership.


Manage Productions one show in Spring 2019
- Manage and execute casting, staffing + new artist recruitment, and contracts
- Create, manage and coordinate rehearsal, meetings, tech and show schedules
- Manage production budget, making sure each department stays within budget
- Make sure all artists have what they need to complete their jobs support them, help create do-able plans and solutions, and hold them accountable to commitments
- Run/Oversee load-in, build, dry tech, Q2Q, dress week, previews, and any major fixes that need to be addressed after opening

Manage Ensemble
- Schedule, manage, and organize materials for ensemble trainings, meetings and retreats and assist in designing the season schedule
- Manage health of the company, communicating regularly with core artists and keeping an eye on morale, work ethic and satisfaction
- Assist Artistic Director with artist recruitment and managing new relationships

Manage Education Program The School of Fierce Play
- Manage scheduling, space, promotion and all logistics for School of Fierce Play programs
- Assist Artistic Director in curating master classes
- Collaborate with Artistic Director in building the program of the School
- Supervise all Education Personnel: Instructors and any assistants

Communications + Marketing
- Manage the creation and distribution of print, documentation, and website materials
- Supervise all Marketing + Documentation personnel including:
+Graphic Designer


- Bachelors Degree preferably in Theater Arts or a related field
- 3-5 years minimum theatrical stage and/or production management experience
- Interest in ensemble theater practices and appreciation of RWEs unique style
- Interest in program design, especially arts education
- Some marketing experience
- Strong people and leadership skills
- Experience managing and supervising staff, contractors and volunteers
- Strong computer aptitude; proficiency in Google Apps a must, familiarity with WordPress and Vendini (or other database/ticketing systems) desired
- Experience managing a budget
- Strong writing skills
- Basic visual design skills (ie. maintaining website, choosing photos, etc.)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and travel up/down stairs regularly and quickly
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced, creative environment, manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to effectively manage cross functional teams, utilize collaboration to achieve goals and resolve issues creatively and quickly
- Ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
- A get it done spirit and creative problem solver at heart
