Want to learn how an off-off-Broadway, not-for profit theatre raises the money it needs to operate? This is the position for you! Work directly with the Development Manager and Executive Director on raising funds for new plays during EST's 50th Anniversary season. Responsibilities will include: assisting with special events, preparing materials for grant proposals, processing donations and acknowledgment letters, and researching potential new funders. The ideal applicant will have strong writing and organizational skills, excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and a real desire to learn about arts administration.


-Process donations in PatronManager database + prepare acknowledgment letters

-Assist with planning and execution of special events, including benefit performance receptions, opening nights, etc.

-Assemble relevant materials for grant proposals

-Research potential new foundation and individual funders

-Draft email correspondence to donors and event sponsors

-Collaborate with the Marketing department on a regular basis

-Participate in roundtables with EST staff, artists, and fellow interns
