$10 - $12/hour biweekly

Summary of Position: Working alongside the resident Props Designer/Manager, the Props Artisan will acquire, build and maintain all stage props for Fulton Theatres Mainstage, Studio Series, and Family Series productions. The Props Artisan reports to the Props Designer/Manager and is a fulltime, benefits eligible position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining organization in prop storage
Assist in crafting/building/buying rehearsal and show props
Repairs/modification to props
Participating in load-in and strike
Assist with prop rentals

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Completion of a props apprenticeship/internship at a professional theatre
Valid drivers license and ability to drive company van
Able and willing to lift and move furniture, boxes, and items weighing over 25 pounds
Competent understanding of power tools
Proficiency in general crafts
Creative, resourceful problem solving skills
Ability to multi-task with a strong sense of time management
Strong communication skills both verbally and written
Ability to work independently and also as part of a team

Desired Experience and Knowledge:
Hand and machine sewing
Basic carpentry and scenic painting
Proficient in Photoshop and Microsoft Office
Ability to work in a fast-paced, upbeat, and ever-changing environment
A team player that will enjoy and contribute to a great workplace culture
