The Nuyorican Poets Cafe seeks a part-time House Manager to oversee front-of-house operations for some of our multi-arts events. The House Manager will supervise 2-3 staff per shift, and will oversee ticketing, event load-in and load-out, and event reporting. The focus of this job will be on front-of-house supervision and customer service responsibilities, but the House Manager should be willing to get their hands dirty and help with event setup as needed.

The House Manager should have prior experience with online ticketing platforms; cash management skills; and several years of both customer service experience and supervisory experience in an arts, hospitality or retail setting.

Any of the following would be helpful, but are not required: a Food Protection Certificate; a Fire Guard license; some conversational Spanish-language proficiency; the ability to lift 40 pounds; basic familiarity with a theatrical lighting board and/or sound board.

The House Manager will work approximately 25 hours per month, mostly in the evenings; some shifts will happen on weekends and holidays.
