As the Assistant Technical Coordinator for Audio, you will provide advanced/specialized audio production support including design, set-up, operation and strike of specialized audio equipment. Operate equipment independently during an event; often upon the cue of a stage manager or event producer. Work with high profile clients in a professional manner to provide top quality production value. Install, maintain and trouble-shoot permanent and portable audio systems.

Required:

Bachelors Degree in Technical Theatre, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.

Four years of experience and/or training in live event production; which may include Theatre, Live Music, Corporate Events, Sporting Events, and Post Production.

In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience.

Mastery of the audio profession including professional audio systems and audio computer software programs.

Skilled in at least two of the following three technical areas: lighting, staging, and video.

Working knowledge of theatrical tools, rigging equipment and electrical power.

Able to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, work a heights in excess of 70 feet and work atop scaffolding.

Must have high work standards and productivity, strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.

Effective decision making skills and dependability.

Ability to work effectively with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds utilizing Student life principles and teamwork in daily work activity.

Valid US or Canadian Drivers License.


Preferred:

A Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).



Additional Information:

This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs. Can require up to 500 overtime hours annually.
