Job Overview
Are you an experienced entertainment professional with exacting standards and a critical eye and ear for all aspects of live show integrity, from the moment the doors open until the last audience member leaves? Do you enjoy the challenge of leading teams of performers and entertainment technical staff? If so, Holland America Lines Production Manager position may be the challenge youve been looking for.
Youll oversee all aspects of all live shows; from the Mainstage, presenting advanced theatrical productions featuring the latest in audio, video, and lighting technologies, to our industry leading Music Walk venues; Billboard Onboard, Lincoln Center Stage, and B.B. Kings Blues Club. Primary responsibilities will include upholding artistic and technical integrity, scheduling performances, and leading/supervising all onboard performers and technical staff. Alongside the Cruise Director and Lead EXC Guide, youll be one of three Heads of Department.
Ideal candidates will have experience as a Production Manager, Company Manager, Director or similar leadership role in a theatrical and/or touring environment. Experienced Choreographers and Performer with exceptional standards and leadership skills will also be strongly considered.
Key responsibilities include:

Monitor and assess all live performance venues before, during, and after performances on a rotating schedule to assure company and producing entitys standards are being met.
Build and communicate all scheduling in the Mainstage, Billboard Onboard, Lincoln Center Stage and B.B. Kings Blues Club.
Oversee all performers, technicians, and performance venues onboard assigned vessel.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies.
Read, understand and follow relevant department Standards.
Work with entertainment technical staff to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
Ensure that venues are properly maintained and prepared for daily activities.
Work in cooperation with charters and groups re: all areas of show operations.
Attend all Head of Department and IssuTrax Meetings.
Approve Time + Attendance for direct reports as well as supervise adherence to ILO work and rest hours by entertainment technical staff and performers.
Run rehearsals.
Complete Performance Reports as directed by Corporate Staff and Branded Entertainment Entities.
Conduct evaluations of direct reports in a timely and accurate manner, using company performance management processes to address and document any performance shortcomings.
Follow guidelines for appropriate attire, maintain impeccable grooming, and look professional at all times.

Requirements:
Experience as a production manager, performer, director, choreographer or similar with live theater and/or touring shows.
Experience managing a team of performers and/or stage techs and crew.
Critical eye and ear for all aspects of live show integrity and proven track record of optimizing performance quality within company guidelines and show vision.
