The Peace Center, downtown Greenvilles premier performing arts venue, is currently seeking qualified applicants for an excellent opportunity as Production Technician (Lead Audio). The Production Technician is a hands-on position responsible for audio, video and rigging related to shows and events at the Peace Center and will act as the stage manager and perform event management related duties for assigned shows.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
Prepare and review show riders, crew calls, invoices, event reports, stage diagrams, lighting plots, and various other reports and correspondence.
When assigned, advance events, meet with clients, technical staff, and Peace Center personnel to discuss production needs and schedule crew calls.
Identify any technical problems, design issues or equipment limitations and notify appropriate client and management staff.
Act as Department lead with Broadway shows and client representatives.
Maintain advance records and show records.
Supervise local labor during scheduled calls to ensure proper use of house equipment and efficient use of labor.
Maintain a safe working environment for all performance and support areas ensuring that all building, electrical, and fire codes are adhered to and Peace Center safety procedures and OSHA regulations are followed.
As needed and assigned to meet show requirements:
oDesign sound and run shows as needed;
oInstall and maintain audio equipment as
needed;
oServe as head sound engineer/board
operator;
oServe as Production Coordinator or
Stage Manager;
oMaintain, install, and run projectors,
digital video cameras, screens;
Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary to the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum five years of experience in audio, board operation and set-up of events and shows.
Must be able to run and program boards, projectors, loop and ALS and processing of systems, utilizing current software.
Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Working knowledge of office tools and equipment.
Ability to operate a forklift; certification a plus.
Lighting experience a plus.
Ability to use a variety of industry standard tools, materials, and equipment to complete assigned projects.
