Piper Theatre is a Brooklyn-based professional theater company. We have been producing free outdoor theater since 2000. We are currently looking for a sound engineer for this summer's equity showcase production and our education series. The main stage is the musical "Peter and the Starcatcher" and the education shows will include two musicals. Time commitment is June 22-July 30. The sound engineer will be responsible for maintaining sound equipment, live mixing 12 lavs and a 6 piece band. Additionally, the sound engineer will be a part of the tech crew, which responsible for loading in sets, lights and sound, running the show and striking each night. A background in theater sound mixing is essential and outdoor theater experience a major plus. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, as we never know what a Brooklyn summer will bring! There is a $2000 stipend and some sound design opportunities will be available. Housing/transportation is NOT provided.
