Seeking a guest sound designer for a university production of Wonderland by Frank Wildhorn + Jack Murphy with a live orchestra in the 1200 seat de Jong Theatre on the BYU campus in Provo, UT.

Compensation includes design fee only and does not include travel and housing allowance.

Production meetings various dates March 2018- January 2019.
Load-In December 2018-January 2019.
Tech Starts January 16, 2019.
Opening Night January 24, 2019.

Sound design work includes working with a student assistant sound designer and engineer.

The BYU Theatre and Media Arts department produces 6-7 main stage productions a year, directed by theatre faculty directors with mostly student performers. BYU is a private, non-profit research university owned and run by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and as such strives to create a Christ-centered atmosphere.

Theatre students from our department have performed in Broadway casts of Mama Mia!, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Thoroughly Modern Millie and 42nd Street. Additionally, students have been with the Broadway national tours of Cats, Fosse, Footloose, Titanic, Sunset Boulevard, and Annie Get Your Gun.
