Magic Theatre seeks a full-time Production Manager. This position has primary responsibility for the hiring, scheduling, budgeting, contracting and executing all aspects of physical production, including stage management, scenery, lights, costumes, props, paint, sound, and projections for all productions, workshops, readings and events.

The Production Manager reports to the Artistic Director and works closely with the Managing Director and General Manager on payroll, calendar, special events and facility operations. The Production Manager shares responsibility with two others for planning and producing Magics season, consistent with the mission of the organization.

Magic operates with a small staff. Every staff member must be a full-team player, able to thrive in a fast-moving, ever-changing work environment.


Exceptional organizational, communication, diplomatic, and leadership skills; experience in not-for-profit theatre; at ;least 3 years of management experience; strong knowledge of all areas of theatrical production; demonstrated ability to develop and work within approved budget.
