Position Summary:
ArtStream seeks part-time Stage Managers to support the artistic, production and acting teams of an ArtStream Inclusive Theatre Company. The Stage Manager supports the Director by providing organizational oversight, ensuring proper team communication, and coordinating technical elements for the production.

About ArtStream:
ArtStream is a regional non-profit organization whose mission is to bring to individuals with disabilities creative and performance opportunities that help them gain the confidence to engage with the world.

ArtStream has six Inclusive Theatre Companies that develop and produce original musicals each year based on the ideas and improvisations of the companys 15 actors adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and other social and behavioral needs. A full production team and several onstage volunteer mentors lead and support the actors throughout the process. Directors and Assistant Directors use improv, role- play and other skill-based exercises to develop characters, a plot and an original script; and Music Directors and Choreographers contribute original music, lyrics and choreography. The six-month Inclusive Theatre season culminates in live public performances showcasing each actors unique talents and abilities.

The Inclusive Theatre season is 26-weeks long with 24 two-hour weekly rehearsals; 3-4 technical rehearsals; and 4-6 performances. Schedules vary by location, please see below.

+#9679; Manage team communication; oversee production team and volunteers
+#9679; Take detailed notes and submit reports for each rehearsal, meeting and performance; disseminate to
production team
+#9679; Assemble and maintain rehearsal book and tracking lists
+#9679; Acquire and/or create, organize and track props
+#9679; Adhere to strict deadlines and budget
+#9679; Lead technical crew, backstage crew and call the show
+#9679; Support and accommodate the unique needs of actors with disabilities
+#9679; Background check

Undergraduate degree preferred; stage management experience required; strong oral and written communication skills; strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; team player; ability to work independently with initiative and meet all deadlines; experience and/or interest in working with individuals with disabilities; genuine desire to further develop your stage management skills; passion for theatre and a belief in the power of the arts.

Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7:00-9:00pm, August 31, 2017 to March 8, 2018 (except 10/5/17, 11/23/17, 12/28/17, 1/4/18)
Tech: 5:00-9:00pm, March 12, 2018 March 14, 2018
Performances: March 15, 2018 March 17, and March 22, 2018 March 24
