Radiance Lightworks is looking for a full-time Operations Manager with a background in Lighting Design and Project Management for live events and permanent installation, and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. The applicant would work under the and president in the role of supporting company operations, executing design and project management on live events and permanent installations.

Essential Functions:
Optimize the Companys operations including developing new systems and Standard Operating Procedures
Operations and Project Management for Special Events
o Coordinate event logistics from start to finish
o Schedule staff, trucks, lifts and other equipment, as required to complete the job
o Coordinate creation of shop orders and acquisition of rental equipment
o Coordinate onsite and offsite storage
Operations for Permanent Installation
o Procure materials and contract labor for permanent installation
o Track labor and materials purchases for invoicing to clients
o Schedule maintenance labor for ongoing installation and contracts
o Schedule staffing and labor activities within budget
Schedule staffing and labor activities within budget
Be involved in the hiring process for Project Managers, LDs, MEs, and crew
Ensure that all new hires have received and execute proper HR paperwork
Assist with creation of training programs for incoming staff to ensure compliance with Client safety requirements
Track employee hours and approve time sheets for Payroll processing
Assist with the creation of Estimates and Invoices for Live Events and Installations
Work with customers to ensure we are meeting their needs and executing on their vision
Create methods of streamlining the logistics of load+#8208;ins and load+#8208;outs
Manage and oversee equipment rental vendors
Prepare and submit bid packages to lighting equipment rental and labor houses
Prepare and manage bid submissions to lighting equipment sales distributors
Attend trade+#8208;shows when appropriate
Coordinate Maintenance Programs for Radiance and Client owned equipment including scheduling gear, ordering parts, and formulating strategies for equipment storage and maintenance
Assist with the creation of Estimates and Invoices for Live Events and Installations

Attend Client meetings and execute Client requests in a timely manner
Secure a positive + creative work environment
Maintain regular communications with President and owner of the company
Provided daily updates to clients when working on active productions / job sites

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum two years experience in the theatre, corporate or theme park entertainment
Prior production management or similar experience
Prior experience in stage lighting for theatre or special events
Ability to analyze and evaluate the technical needs of each project, schedule labor and equipment appropriately, and anticipate and address potential obstacles.
Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects
Ability to maintain a positive working environment
Ability to stay calm under pressure
Ability to communicate professionally with clients and co-workers.
Drivers license and ability to travel to and from job sites with irregular schedules
Must be available to work weeknights, weekends, and extended hours depending on production schedules
Preferred Education:
Bachelor or Masters Degree, in relevant field.

Preferred Software Experience:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Especially Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Advanced skills in Adobe PDF Professional or Blubeam
Proficient use of Vectorworks
