Position Title: Production/Event Manager
Pay Status: Exempt full time through Oct. then TBD
Reports To: VP of Operations

Works in Cooperation with: Company executives as well as build crew for site including, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, show site crew for installation as well as show, stage manager and all variety of show related staff.

Teatro ZinZanni presents a full evening of entertainment combining cirque artists, European cabaret, contortionists, jugglers and illusionists with live music and a gourmet five-course meal. Set in an antique jewel box tent imported from Belgium that will be located in Marymoor Park.

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing the load in of the show site into Marymoor Park. This will include permitting, pricing of equipment and logistics of equipment delivery and install, managing the load in calendar and timeline, hiring staff and assigning work duties to employees. Working alongside the Director of Operations, this person will spend the majority of their time managing all aspects of the event production process. Production Managers and the associated teams run the event from concepts, permitting to implementation, to live show, to load out. The Production Manager is responsible for working effectively with vendors and staff to meet established strategic objectives, timelines and financial goals. The Production Manager should thrive under pressure and have a passion for event production and logistics.
Hire staff for each aspect of the load-in plan including site load in and building operations
Responsible for management of timeline and calendar on a comprehensive load in plan
Establish a project plan for each portion of implementation and holding internal and external partners accountable
Identify necessary vendor / partner support, and source and manage accordingly
Assist with payments and processing
Track budget costs throughout the course of project and communicate scope changes that effect budget to the account team in a clear manner.
Correspond with management on overview and details
Ongoing reconciliation of all project expenses, including ensuring vendor invoices are accurate and paid, and client invoices reflect all approved event expenses
All other duties as assigned.
3+ years experience managing special events
Working with budgeting and pricing
Excel computer skills and experience
Experience in managing labor crews of 8 or more people
Strong production competencies
Comfortable communicating with all varieties of production staff from carpenters to technicians
Well-developed project management skills
Eye for detail and maniacal attention to delivering high quality work
Anticipates project needs and proactively delivers
Builds solid and reciprocal relationships with designated vendors
Fosters trust and open/honest communication with the internal team and others
Ability to read site plans.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
Ability to take direction without follow up.
Ability to work collaboratively with others for whom you have no direct supervisory authority.

Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays and be on-call as necessary.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on the changing priorities of the department.
Capability to stand, kneel and/or crouch for long periods of time
Capability to work in cold environments
Capability to lift + move excess of 50lbs as is necessary in the normal flow of the day to day work load unassisted and lift and move 100lbs with assistance.
Assist in the loading of various vehicles with equipment including as needed
