About The Industry
Founded in 2010 by director Yuval Sharon, The Industry creates experimental productions that expand the traditional definition of opera. By merging media and through interdisciplinary collaborations, we produce works that inspire new audiences for the art form. Our last major production, the widely acclaimed Hopscotch, was the worlds first mobile opera. It took place in limousines zigzagging around Los Angeles and at iconic sites.

Performed around an enormous bonfire on Cabrillo Beach, this large-scale collaboration will bring Brechts searing play to life as an anarchic celebration of the triumph of freethinking over authority. Galileo is a large-scale collaboration with contributions by composer Andy Akiho and artist Liz Glynn.
