UCF Celebrates the Arts- Production Coordinator

The University of Central Florida and SenovvA Production Core (NYC Based Production Supervision Company) seeks two Production Coordinators for the upcoming UCF Celebrates the Arts Festival, hosted at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando Florida. Background in Production Management and Event Management preferred.

The Production Coordinators will work in partnership with the General Manager, Production Manager, UCF Production Manager and Faculty, Dr Phillips Center Staff, as well as students and volunteers.

UCF Celebrates the Arts is a two week annual showcase featuring an interactive exhibition of student artworks in the areas of Visual and Performing Arts. In addition to the products and performances of the arts units, each year there are projects that demonstrate the arts vital role in innovation, communication and fostering creativity across all disciplines. The festival provides a platform to share with Orlando and the Central Florida region the collaboration that occurs among all the units at the University of Central Florida and also with our community partners. UCFs commitment to interdisciplinary activities and partnerships is well established and the festival celebrates these relationships as it demonstrates the universitys strong positive impact in Central Florida and beyond.

The Festivals Production Coordinators are responsible for the overall technical coordination of the event under the direction of the Production Manager. Each Production Coordinator will be assigned a venue or venues within the Dr Phillips Center to facilitate in addition to playing a vital role in the facilitation of the of the Festival as a whole. This involves coordinating all venue operations including load in and set of of lighting, audio, video, coordinating props and scenic storage, wardrobe, student stage managers, and special requirements of performances and visual arts groups. The Coordinators are also responsible for on-site supervision and mentoring of students and volunteers, and post production wrap up.

Production Coordinators report to the Production Manager.

Production Coordinators are expected to:
In partnership with the Production Manager, refine schedules and logistics and prepare for the overall festival during week directly prior to the event.
Supervise and facilitate load-in, transition, and load out of each venue.
Ensure safe working practices throughout Festival.
Work in partnership with DPC staff to ensure proper and respectful use of venue equipment and support.
Facilitate schedule organization and proper utilization of resources.
Complete tasks efficiently and accurately with a collaborative attitude.
Communicate! Keep the Production Team (Designers, Faculty, Heads, Production Staff) all on the same page via Event Sheets and a Daily Report while on site and check ins throughout the day.
Work in partnership with the Production Manager during the week following the festival to close out all remaining loose ends and participate in post mortem meetings as requested.
Must be proficient in Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, and have a working personal laptop with printing capabilities. Printer will be provided.
