Beaver Country Day School seeks an innovative, organized, collaborative Costume Designer and Shop Manager to design and execute its mainstage theater productions including 2 middle school and 4 upper school productions annually. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, collaborative and highly organized as well as a strong creative problem solver.

Responsibilities include designing, sourcing, building and altering costumes, maintaining the costume stock and budget, reading scripts to determine the costume needs of each production, attending all production meetings, technical rehearsals and performances, and overseeing the hair and makeup design and execution for the productions.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and experience in all areas of theatrical costume construction and excellent sewing skills, working knowledge of costume and fashion history, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a desire to work with middle and high school students. This position is part time and runs during the academic year - late August to early June.
