Pittsburgh Festival Opera is seeking a paid Projection Design Intern for the 2018 summer season, mid-June through late-July. The projection design intern will work on two of our three mainstage shows: La Boh+egrave;me Warhola, a 1960's Andy Warhol-style La Boh+egrave;me, and Richard Strauss' rarely-performed masterpiece Arabella. Our third show is Wagner's Rhinegold, which does not require projection.

The intern will work with the scenic designer to help develop imagery, assist in manipulating the equipment, and most likely work on the run crew. Applicants should already have some relevant experience working in theatrical projection. The pay is $200/week with free housing provided.

All paid production interns experience practical work designed to foster professional growth. Self-provided transportation is an advantage, and a flexible schedule is necessary. Some experience at a university level in area of specialty is necessary. All interns may, on occasion, be asked to assist colleagues in technical areas other that their specialtya team-oriented attitude is essential.
