Job Summary

Systems Support + Integration is currently seeking a Systems Integrator to join our team. The right person will be flexible in order to get the job done with the ability to balance creativity and good analytical skills to stay focused on results someone who enjoys problem solving, loves a challenge, and is committed to continuous improvement.

System Support Integration, a division of KSA Lighting + Controls, is responsible for performing factory-certified startup, programming and troubleshooting of lighting, audio-visual, and building automation control systems. Our System Integrators work with contractors and end-users to help them configure control systems to exceed the expectations of the customer using our industry-leading manufacturers products. A successful Systems Integrator will not be afraid to ask the right questions to understand the system design intent and the clients needs. Systems Integrators work in the greater Chicagoland area, and are in the field 80% of the time. KSAs Controls group is based out of our Hanover Park headquarters, with a satellite office in Downtown Chicago.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Provision and troubleshoot multiple control products represented by KSA and SSI.
- Integrate control products with 3rd party systems.
- Identify and mitigate risks and customer impact; manage escalations; anticipate and make tradeoffs; and balance business needs with technical constraints.
- Reconfigure unresponsive devices/systems or work directly with manufacturers on replacement or repair.
- Update inventory records after device swaps.
- Identify problematic areas and provide value added input to drive service improvement globally.
- Provide phone support for client technical questions during the control design phase.
- Build new processes and constantly improve efficiencies to manage an increasing volume of requests.
- Act as Tier 2 troubleshooting support on reported room issues
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge.
- Report regularly on assigned projects and any roadblocks or requested changes.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Director Controls Group.

Qualifications and Skills

- Experience in low-voltage system installation and setup, including but not limited to:
Alarm systems, fire alarms, AV systems, lighting control, technical theater, high-end home automation.
- High attention to detail, amazing written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledgeable of Office 365 and Windows 10.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues with minimal assistance; solution focused.
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively under strict timelines within a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive can-do attitude and healthy working relationships with internal and external clients.
- Must have reliable vehicle.
